The walker can find out about the Wildcat Trail and other walks in and from the village.  We have a full set of Ordance Survey  maps of Scotland for reference, along with many reference books on walking in Scotland.

We sell Ordnance Survey  maps and  a full-colour illustrated brochure about the Wildcat Trail,  (£2.50) and carry a range of items associated with walking – compasses, stepcounters and map cases, as well as promotional items such as T-shirts, caps, mugs, bearing the Wildcat Trail logo.

The Millennium Book of Newtonmore is kept at the Centre. This is a photographic and handwritten record of the people of Newtonmore at the turn of the 20th/21st century.  All households in the village were invited to write something about themselves and have a photograph taken.   Nearly 80% of the population agreed to do so.  The Book is kept in a specially commissioned pine cabinet, but there are photocopies of the individual pages for visitors to look at.
