Newtonmore is a traditional Highland village, set in a stunning landscape on the upper reaches of the great
River Spey. It lies in a valley between areas of high and wild ground – the Cairngorms to the northeast, and
the Monadhliath to the west.
The village has about 1,100 inhabitants
and strong community spirit. It is very peaceful, with
all the facilities the holiday maker needs -

ongoing demonstrations of the life and work of the people
who lived then, livestock,

comprises a school, post office , carpenter’s workshop and
church and a working
watermill. Visitors can
stroll through the extensive grounds
