Text Box: The Wildcat Trail

Text Box: The Wildcat Trail is a 10km/7mile way marked path encircling the
 village of Newtonmore, Inverness-shire.

It passes along the banks of three rivers, through both well- established
and new woodlands and across moorland, giving magnificent views of the
  Cairngorm and Monadhliath Mountains.

The terrain and scenery are extremely varied, yet the walk is relatively
easy, and possible for able-bodied, well-shod, adults and children.

The whole Trail takes about two and a half to three hours to complete,
though many prefer to take it more slowly to take advantage of the many
 viewpoints.

The path can be accessed from ten or more points in the village of
Newtonmore and, because it is orbital, it is not necessary to complete
 the whole walk at once.

There is no charge for walking the Trail, but contributions to its upkeep are welcome and may be made at the Wildcat Centre, the information centre for walkers on the Main Street.
